Fromagerie Les Broussailles Cheese Factory

The cheese factory is great for tasting organic cheese from mountain goats and sheep. From the livestock to the final tasting, there is an opportunity to experience the entire cycle of cheese creation. The farm also aims to plant 3,000 trees to enhance biodiversity with several species of trees. The farm shop is open seven days a week for purchases. There is a selection of des Broussailles and Cru Berger cheeses.

Parc du Vieux-Moulin

To see some natural beauty, visitors enjoy seeing the Parc du Vieux-Moulin. Originally the location of a sawmill, a waterfall is part of the picturesque view. The reservoir is open for kayaking and canoeing, and picnic tables are set up around the reservoir for tourists. For animal enthusiasts, this is a great location for bird-watching with Osprey, Great Egret, and more birds regularly spotted.

La Bergerie en Herbe Educational Farm

The Bergerie en Herbe is a farm dedicated to educating visitors about where their food is sourced. The farm is home to many animals, including sheep, rabbits, and llamas, for visitors to pet. Linear Trail

Very close to the Parc du Vieux-Moulin is the linear path. This is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy snowshoeing, skiing, and hiking. Along the trail that spans 700 m, there is the Riviere aux Saumons. For a more relaxing day, visitors could enjoy a picnic by the trail at one of the many picnic tables.

Fete au Village

September

An annual event called the Fete au Village is organized by the Martinville Recreation Committee every September. This is an opportunity for the town to get together and welcome new residents and visitors to Martinville. Visiting this event is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the town’s culture and people.

Monument of Oscar Lessard

To learn more about the town’s history, visitors can see the monument of Sam Lessard in Martinville. There is an interactive sign with a voice recording of Mr. Oscar Lessard, the last owner of the Martinville Mill.

Mr. Lessard also owned the general store in Martinville. Other business ventures of his include building bridges and snow removal. His monument is a great destination to learn more about the earlier settlers of Martinville.

Parc des Sables is a family-friendly park located in Martinville, QC. This park is used year-round to host town events and for baseball, skating, and other physical activities.
