Ville de Mascouche

Old Mascouche is a beautiful, small community within the town where visitors can feel the warmth of a small town. Many old houses remain, some of which were built in the 18th century. Old Mascouche is home to the Saint-Henri-de-Mascouche church and the town hall building. Audio-guided tours are available for visitors.

Festival des arts de Mascouche

September

Mascouche is famous for the Mascouche Arts Festival, an exhibition competition of visual arts. Heald annually in September, this is the largest arts festival in the Lanaudière area.

It is held indoors, which allows it to continue operating in inclement weather conditions. Guest and solo artists are also welcome to display their work at this festival, and it would be a great place to visit for any art enthusiast.

Mascouche is the hometown of the famous Canadian baseball pitcher Eric Gagne. Gagne spent ten seasons in Major League Baseball, most of his time playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Home Town of Émilie Mondor

Canadian Olympic Athlete

Mascouche is the hometown of Émilie Mondor, a Canadian athlete who competed in the Olympics. Born in 1981, Émilie came in 10th place in a junior race as a participant at the 1998 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. She was a two-time national champion, winning the women’s 5,000 metres race. A running trail event is held annually in the town to commemorate Émilie, ranging from 1 to 15 km long.

Parc régional du Domaine-Seigneurial-de-Mascouche

Domaine-Seignuerial-de-Mascouche is a park located in the Grand Couteau Forest Corridor. This park has different flora and fauna, biodiversity, and species. There are hiking trails on-site for visitors to enjoy, as well as equestrian trails for horse rides.

The Moore Garden was created in 1985 by William Dyson Moore. It is a beautiful garden with plants, flora, fauna, and horticulture. Guided tours are available for visitors who want to learn more about horticulture and the garden’s ecology.

Parc du Grand-Coteau

Open every day from 7 am to 10 pm, Grand Coteau Park is a beautiful public park in Mascouche. There are walking trails for pedestrians as well as dog-friendly trails for pet owners. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful landscape and greenery or have the option to eat at one of the picnic tables set up around the park. Ping-pong rackets and ball rentals are also available at the park.
