McGill University’s Macdonald Campus, also known as “Mac Campus,” is one of the two campuses of one of Canada’s most prestigious universities. Home to the school’s Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the Macdonald campus is the largest green space on the island of Montreal and the largest private land holding.
Located in the Old Stone Barn on campus is the Montreal Aviation Museum, the only one of its kind in Quebec. The museum highlights Quebec’s civil and military aviation history through its aircraft, artifacts, memorabilia, and paintings. As well the campus also houses the Morgan Arboretum, a 245-hectare forest reserve home to native and exotic trees as well as 30 species of mammals, 20 species of reptiles and amphibians, and nearly 200 species of birds. The arboretum’s year-round trials offer an ideal setting for walking, snowshoeing and skiing.
