Munshaw House

Munshaw House was built in 1864 as a stagecoach stop at the corner of Toronto-Sydenham Road and Durham Road. The building is the oldest structure in the village.

For many years, the house could cater to travellers along the Sydenham Road (north-south route) and the Durham Road (east-west route) and draw customers from all directions.

Munshaw House was operated as a hotel by the Munshaws and their descendants until 1964 when the family was forced to sell the hotel after the Village of Flesherton temporarily banned the sale of alcohol.

Now you can stay in the Munshaw House Village Inn.
