This red brick building was an elementary school until it closed in 1961. It now serves as a museum to show visitors what school was like for students in the past. The museum represents what a rural school building looked like, including a square bell tower on its roof!

Looking through the article and pictures I realize and recognize the house where myself and two friends broke into when I was about ten years old. It was located on the property of Walter Klempka at the time. I remember the content vividly. Philip Klempka the son of Walter took many of the items and then claimed that he had collected them. As boys we played the piano and generally did no good in the house. If anyone wishes to talk to me about what the house actually contained please give me a call….it was fascinating….communist pillows and many communist books, etc.
Am presently 74 years old but I do hope someone calls me.
