The Alberta Railway Museum is a rustic display of railway equipment and buildings. Operating since 1968, the museum proudly preserves the Canadian railway heritage in Alberta and intertwines the story of the railway with the history of Canada. A large collection of artifacts is on display, including the last passenger train service on the rail line where the museum is established. Named the “Golden Coach,” this passenger train is on display along with a caboose.
Those who want to visit this fantastic museum know it is only open on summer weekends, starting from the Victoria Day long weekend in May until the Labour Day long weekend in September.
