History

A classic and historical building in the town. Built in 1904 for a price tag of $5,000, this building has served many titles over history. From 1906-1961 it was the library but also during the 20s, it showcased plays, movies and other forms of entertainment. As if this building couldn’t do anything else, it was also the local jail for 65 years. If you tour the building, you can still see evidence of old jail cells.

Now, the hall regularly houses a theatre group and “A Night at the Movies” event. It is a piece of history all visiting will want to check out when visiting the area.
