Freeze time and walk down history lane with the classical Palmerston Railway heritage museum!
The museum, built in 1871, is the last original railway station in Wellington county and the perfect destination for history fanatics and families!
The railway museum displays multiple railway and Victorian-era artifacts which are contributed with love from the surrounding community, along with a wide range of railway books that are available in the museum’s genealogy room for visitors who are interested in their ancestral history with the railroads. The museum is a non-profit organization operated by volunteers, who offer many facilities such as miniature train rides and perplexing museum tours during the summer season (June-august) and requested tours during the off-season (September-May) if you experience the aura and taste of history in one of Canada’s greatest railway towns!
