History

This tourism opportunity has glamping, Bannock making, Indigenous dancing, and the chance to deepen your understanding of the country’s history. Running through Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation is a forested trail accessible from St. Laurent Ferry on the North Saskatchewan River to Fort Carlton. Portions are groomed in the winter for cross-country ski enthusiasts and snowshoeing. Contact Pêmiska Tourism for additional information and updates on land-based and cultural programs available throughout the year.
