The Phare de Carleton may be an old lighthouse in Carleton-sur-Mer, but it is worth a visit. The lighthouse that can be visited today is a replica built in 1984 of the original, constructed in 1872 to help navigate Chaleur Bay. It is almost 10 metres tall and has a white exterior, bright red roof, and other red detailing. It is a great place to sit back, relax, and appreciate the scenery you’ll witness from the shore. The sun sets on the water, so plan your visit to the lighthouse to fall during the sunset for an even more breathtaking view!
