Pijinuiskaq Park

08

Pijinuiskaq Park (pronounced BE-JN-OO-IS-GAH) recently opened in 2017 and is located in the downtown area of Bridgewater. The name “Pijinuiskaq” is the traditional Mi’kmaw name for the LaHave River, which means “having long joints or branches.”

The park also has an interpretive panel and art installed in 2022 that was created by Mi’kmaw artist. It is a great park to enjoy your leisure time downtown.
