Port Union National Historic District

01

A small section of Port Union that engages visitors in the lively history of the area. They offer guided and self-tours where you can take in the area at your speed. It educates its visitors that Port Union is the only “union-built town” in North America, a fact they are proud of.

Those who embark on this tour are welcome to see the restored factory building, the fisherman’s advocate, old back issues of the advocate, a total walking tour telling the story of the town’s development, and special events they hold throughout the year. It is the perfect place to go and learn a gem of history from the area!
