Projet Éole, known as the Éole Project, is located in Gaspésie of Cap-Chat. This is the world’s tallest vertical axis wind turbine, built in the mid-1980s.

This site was the beginning of Québec’s research on renewable energies. Since 1993, it no longer produces electricity and has become a tourist attraction, accessible for the public to tour. The team of Projet Éole aims to spread awareness of the development of wind energy.
