The most scenic route to Niagara Falls

Road 81 is a scenic alternative to the Queen Elizabeth Way when travelling to Niagara Falls, between Hamilton and St. Catharine. The majority of the route is part of the Wine Route. It has been proposed that the route be designated a scenic parkway similar to the Niagara Parkway.

Take advantage of this fresh bounty by popping off the QEW and heading inland to Road 81, which travels roughly parallel, stopping at any number of small produce vendors to pick up local goodies. Many small shops and flea markets catering to tourists line the route through the region, and numerous parks and conservation areas are marked along the route.
