The Saamis Tepee is lit blue and gold, the colors of the Ukrainian flag

It is the world’s tallest tepee.

Originally constructed for the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics, it is a tribute to the native heritage of Canada. The main masts of the Tepee measure 215 feet (equivalent to a 20 story building!) and the diameter of the Tepee is 160 feet.

Saamis Tepee is located on the Trans-Canada Highway next to Tourism Medicine Hat.
