Sir Wilfrid Laurier Birthplace

National Historic Site

If you are fascinated by 19th-century life, acquaint yourself with the life and work of former Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier while visiting the typical Quebec home of his youth. Exploring the precious collection of artifacts and old furnishings will take you back to the lifestyle and customs of the people of that time.

Sir Henri Charles Wilfrid Laurier, lawyer, journalist, and politician, was the 7th Prime Minister of Canada, in office from July 1896, to October 1911.

In 1855, the municipality was reestablished as Saint-Lin-de-Lachenaye, with Carolus Laurier, father of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, as the first mayor.

Camping Du Lac Morin

This small campground is open to passing campers and seasonal workers. The site for passing campers is on the edge of a small lake. On-site activities you could participate in include swimming, mini-golf, hockey, volleyball, and many more. The kids can also play on the lake slide. You will find the atmosphere of this place to be quiet and relaxing.
