This is a true gem that showcases Quebec’s cultural and agri-cultural food heritage. Église Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse

This fine institutional complex, including the presbytery, is in the heart of the village of Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse. It was founded in 1739, one of the oldest in North America.

The wooden statue of the great Archangel Saint Michael slaying the dragon is the work of sculptor Louis Jobin (1845-1928). Located opposite the church, it has protected the faithful for nearly a century.

A local cheese store humbly run by a family business, this shop offers a variety of quality cheeses without modified dairy ingredients. Each ingredient is associated with names that represent the magnificent region.

The show-stopping cheese found here is the Fleur St-Michel, which is a garlic flower grilling cheese. In addition to the delicious cheeses found here, the shop offers divine pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, and sweets – all hand-made by the pastry chef.
