Once part of the now-abandoned Musquodoboit railroad, the Salt Marsh Trail has been converted into part of the Trans Canada Trail. The trail is the perfect choice for novice and experienced hikers alike, providing an easygoing 1 km path as well as a 13 km path for both hikers and bikers.

The trail is also the perfect spot for cross-country skiing in the winter months. The trail provides the opportunity to observe the salt marsh, take in the beautiful scenery and smell the coastal air.
