1 km south of the Town of Onoway is Salter’s Lake, an excellent for fishing. It is open to the public for fishing throughout the year, and rainbow trout is stocked into the lake annually during the spring and the fall. To support the fish population, aeration treatment is also implemented.

At the lake, you will find a boat launch and pier that visitors can use to launch boats, in which only those with electric motors are allowed.
