Sandy Beach is within walking distance of Parc Jack Layton and borders the shores of the Ottawa River. Visitors can take a calming walk along the rocky surfaces on the beach, soak their feet in the lukewarm water and sand, or even go for a stroll to see the river creek nearby. The beach is quite clean and well-preserved. However, there is no lifeguard on the premises. There is no boat launch site or equipment rental, but guests can go for a leisurely swim in the water.
This beach is a local gem with beautiful scenery that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, soaking in the sun and taking a refreshing swim to cool down. You may be able to witness some of the fauna in their natural habitats, such as many species of birds in the trees, ducks on the water surface, and small fishes in the water. Regarding amenities, there is a portable toilet on site and plenty of shadows under the trees to have a picnic at the beach. Take a trip down to the local Sandy Beach during your trip in the summer!
