This scenic 52km trail provides stunning scenery as you wind around the Slocan River towards the Slocan Lake in the north and the Kootenay River in the South. The path has multiple points of entrance and exit, meaning that you can enjoy what it has to offer in parts instead of going all the way around. The trail connects some of the best that the Slocan Valley has to offer.

It allows you to experience the pristine nature of the river, beaches, mountain views,  fish habitat structures, and bird sanctuaries. Along the trail, you can also find paths to local cafes, shops, picnic tables, or a number of playgrounds for children. The trail also offers easy access to the river, which can be used for fishing, kayaking, swimming, or snorkelling during summer.

The trail can be enjoyed by walking, biking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. The Slocan Valley Rail Trail is the best way to enjoy the richness of Winlaw and all it has to offer.
