Stoney Point

Stoney Point is a small village in Ontario with less than 1,500 residents. Situated on Lake St Clair, Stoney Point has gorgeous sunsets over the water, marsh areas and small-town charm that makes for a great place to visit with the family.

There are several parks and trails to explore and a beautiful waterfront to enjoy a swim in the summer.

Tremblay Beach

Situated on the shore of Lake St. Clair, Tremblay Beach Conservation Area is the perfect spot to visit with the family on the weekend or for a day trip.

There are lush forests to explore, with tons of biodiversity and wildlife year-round. This is a great spot for birdwatching at the lookout or a picnic in the warmer months. In the summer, visitors can swim in the warm lake St. Clair or just relax on the beach.

Ruscom Shores

Ruscom Shores is one of two natural marshlands on Essex County’s north shoreline. Visitors can explore the 120 acres of natural beauty recently designated an Environmentally Significant Area.

Within the conservation area is a well-maintained trail for visitors to explore. The marshes are full of waterfowl and prairie plants.

Just a 5-minute drive from Stoney Point, the area supports several activities year-round, including biking, birdwatching, picnics, hiking and cross-country skiing. There is something to do for everyone.

Stoney Point Sportsmen’s Club

The Stoney Point Sportsman’s Club is a local favourite for pub classics and cold drinks. They offer fresh seafood from the great lakes, including Lake Erie yellow perch and pickerel.

They are known for their broasted chicken, fish, wings, and burgers. The stunning lakefront location has spectacular sunset views over the water, and its spacious patio is open during warm months. If you’re in the Stoney Point area, you can join them for their weekly specials or grab a drink at their bar rail.

Rochester Place Campgrounds

Located near the Rochester Place Resort and Golf Course in Belle River, these campgrounds have everything you need to enjoy a weekend in nature. The Campgrounds have a volleyball court, a swimming pool, washrooms, and shower facilities to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

They have a fishing dock as well as kayak and pedal boat rentals available as well. There is also a private boat launch and private docks for guests. The location is on Lake St. Clair, and campers can set up camp on the waterfront.

This locally owned business is a great place to stop for anyone visiting Stoney Point. They are known for their super friendly staff, generous toppings and top-quality ingredients.

In addition to their pizzas, Paddy’s serves up burgers, salads, and their famous wings with a choice of 12 sauces. Food is available for take-out, dine-in, and even delivery.

Rochester Place Golf Club & Resort

Rochester Palace is an 18-hole par-72 golf course located in the small town of belle river. In addition to their greens, they have premium accommodations, a 5-star restaurant and patio, family fitness facilities, a playground for kids and a pro shop.

Just an 8-minute drive from Stoney Point, this well-maintained golf club and the resort has lush greens, volleyball, pickleball, a kids club, and a pool for guests. There are also Private Boat Docks and Lake Access.

Stoney Point Community Park

This Community Park is 23.1 acres with tons to explore and lots to do year-round. The park features two playgrounds, a skatepark, eight soccer fields, volleyball courts and storage sheds with sports equipment.

There are lots of amenities, including a pavilion with picnic tables, trails for a stroll and public bathrooms. In the colder months, this is a popular place to visit to go tobogganing or build snow structures.
