The Blue Church is a small, old and beautiful blue church surrounded by a large graveyard of very old tombstones – some of the earliest settlers of Upper Canada! This present Blue Church is the third church built in the area in 1845 since the previous two churches were destroyed by fire. It is not known why the church is painted blue, but the tradition has been kept.
Within the church, there is a beautiful marker and a stained glass window of Rich Young Ruler, used for small weddings. This religious yet historical site holds much history visitors can learn about through posted information while they admire the area’s design.
