Home to the Blind River Cross Country Ski Club, this beautiful park is both a breathtaking view of the town’s nature and a reflection of its history of over 600 years. Supported by archaeological evidence and oral traditions of the Mississauga First Nation support, it is believed to have been a gathering place for some of the earliest First Nation communities.
It is also one point that allows access to the Mississagi River. The 12 km long trails are made up of 3 loops; Harbour Loop, Woodland Loop and Delta Loop, each separated by distinct interpretive signage outlining the area’s history. The use of the trails evolves with the seasons; in the winter, they are prepared for cross-country skiing, and in the spring, summer and fall, they are perfect for those that want to hike and bike. Having gone through many functional changes over the years, it remains an integral part of life in the town.
