In the heart of the Manicouagan territory, the Escoumins River flows 40 kilometres north of Tadoussac in the enchanting setting of a mountainous valley. Classified as a salmon river, fishing is done only with flies starting in June. Since 2013, the Escoumins River has regained its wild aspect after dismantling an old dam. This river, still very young but so full of promise, has 66 listed pools. The Pinel Pool requires a 45-minute walk and is one of the jewels of this magnificent river. The number of fish that frequent the pit is impressive, commensurate with the place. The river allows fishers to catch Salmon and Sea Trout, don’t miss out on this beautiful natural resource if you love to fish!
