Blueberry Rock Hiking Trail

The trail showcases the amazing Canadian shield and has an abundance of wildlife including deer, owls, bald eagles and more! Enjoy stunning views of the Winnipeg River from the top of the lookout tower. Hence the name, the trail features blueberries when in season.

Hike this beautiful trail located just outside of the town of Lac du Bonnet. This 1.8 km trail is a perfect beginner trail and is great for the whole family! The parking lot has newly built bathrooms and within the trail, you’ll find benches, a picnic tables, fire pits and a lookout tower!

Lac du Bonnet Town Dock and Beach

Lac du Bonnet Beach is located right off the Winnipeg River. This small sandy beach is great for swimming and picnics!

The huge Manitoba-shaped dock is great to jump off or dock your boat.

The beach is fully staffed with lifeguards during the summer months making it perfect for families. The beach also features bathrooms, picnic tables and play structures. Relax with your feet in the sand and enjoy the view of the lovely Winnipeg River.

Canada Day Weekend

Every Canada Day weekend, the town of Lac du Bonnet hosts its biggest event of the year.

The Wonder Shows fair comes to town and the Lac du Bonnet Lions Club puts on an unforgettable firework display at the Town Dock. The firework show starts and dusk and is claimed to be Manitoba’s best fireworks display.

The weekend also includes a parade, mixed slo-pitch tournament, beer gardens, a pancake breakfast and more! Don’t miss out on Lac du Bonnet’s biggest weekend!

Gran’s Bake Shop

Gran’s Bake Shop has the best-baked goods in town!

The small rustic style bakery welcomes you with a delightful smell of fresh baked goods! Grans offers pies, cookies, Nanaimo bars and so much more! Her baking became a hit at the local Farmers Market, but you can now enjoy it anytime at her bakery just across the street from the market!

Lac du Bonnet District Museum

The Lac du Bonnet Museum offers a unique historical experience by being located in a restored handcrafter log cabin built back in 1935 by Hans Erickson.

The cabin was originally a gift for his daughter Linnea Tyndall and now serves as the home to artifacts from prehistoric to early pioneer times. The museum includes artifacts from railways, hydro dam construction, aviation, timber and more than having helped develop Lac du Bonnet and surrounding areas.

Granite Hills Golf Club

Known as one of Manitoba’s finest courses, Granite Hills offers a beautiful 18-hole golf course along with a restaurant and store! Located just 20 minutes outside of the town of Lac du Bonnet, the 18 holes showcase the Canadian Shield and curve around the shores of the Winnipeg River System!

The cliff like banks make the course challenging but creates the courses identified as one of Manitoba’s top courses to play. It features 35 sand traps, 5 lakeside fairways and plenty of wildlife.

Lac du Bonnet Farmers Market

Every Saturday from May long weekend until September a large market is found in the Community Centre parking lot!

The market runs from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and feature only handmade, hand-picked, homegrown or baked goods only! It’s a one-stop shop for all your local goodies!

Steel Beam Bridge

Historic Site of Manitoba

The bridge was originally constructed in 1908 as a wooden rail bridge by Winnipeg Hydro Tramway. In 1931, a steel bridge replaced it for highway traffic.

The rail tracks were removed in 1963.
