If you’re looking for a nice outdoor spot in Lewisporte, then the Train Park is a great place to visit. The park features multiple restored trains for you to look around and explore. And with the picnic tables available around the park make it the perfect place to sit down for a picnic lunch among the trees.

And if you’re looking for something to keep you active, the park also has a short hiking trail along the river. The trail is less than a kilometre and is great for bird watching and dog walking. Along the trail, you’ll get great views of the river and the wooded area and a greater appreciation for the beautiful nature in Lewisporte.

  1. My husband and I walked the train park hiking trail today for the first time with our small dogs. The trail is great and the fairy stuff around makes it magical. It’s a beautiful walk especially in the fall. My complaint is to the visitors with pets who don’t cleanup after them. If you’re responsible enough to have a pet, you should be responsible enough to cleanup after them. It’s disgusting to see this this on such a beautiful trail. Also, take out your garbage, the fairies and elves do not clean up the mess you left.
