Established in 1989, the Turtle River-White Otter Lake offers many opportunities in its 49,294 hectares. Located a little over an hour from Atikokan. This place is truly worth the road trip. When you arrive, you’ll notice the rugged rock bed landscape that provides some of the oldest rock in the world. Surrounded by beautiful lakes, streams, and forestry.

The popular activities that this park is known for are canoeing and fishing. Paddle through the mostly calm waters on White Otter Lake, or on the smaller neighbouring streams. In the water, you will find many types of fish to catch such as Lake Trout, Walleye, and Northern Pike.

There are also many other activities available such as boating, hiking, and hunting. There are sightings of deer, black bears, moose and an assortment of other wild beings.
