Head over to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village to experience the history brought to life. The village is an outdoor museum with costumed interpreters that narrate the first-hand stories of early settlers to east central Alberta. Visitors can learn about the impact on Alberta’s cultural identity and heritage from the early Ukrainian immigration to Canada.
Over 40 buildings from farms and towns across east-central Alberta have been relocated to this village. These buildings are researched, restored, and furnished to their early 20th-century appearance for visitors to explore.
The open-air museum is open from May to September and is approximately 20 minutes away from Mundare by car.
