Veterans Memorial Park

01

This well-maintained park in downtown Durham depicts a granite monument from 1922. This monument honours the 36 soldiers lost in the great war and the battles they were lost in.

On top of this monument is a bronze soldier, and next to it is a German 17 cm Mittlerer Minenwerfer that the Canadians in the great war captured.
