Victoria Jubilee Hall

02

Victoria Jubilee Hall was built in 1897 to replace the city’s original wooden Town Hall. It was designed by A.R Denison and constructed by Henry Clack using marl brick and local fieldstone. The total cost for construction was $10,000.

The hall has eight levels and seats up to 300 people. The ground level was originally used as a farmer’s market but was eventually converted into firemen’s quarters.
