Located in the town’s original hospital building, the Viking Museum holds a detailed record of the town’s history. Here you can find various agricultural tools, uniforms, equipment, and more items that would have been used in Viking’s past.
The museum also holds a collection of newspapers from throughout the years, so you can look through decades of the town’s history and learn about the major events that helped shape the town into what it is today.
Four buildings have also been restored and moved on site. These include a store/post office from 1903, a school from 1907, a farmhouse from 1914, and a church from 1938. By looking through these, you can see what Viking in the early 1900s would have looked like.
If you’re into history, the Viking Museum is a must-see on your trip through the town.
