The Wainwright Arts Festival is an annual event that takes place in February each year. It is a 3-day event, from Thursday to Saturday. On the first day of the festival, the focus is on literature. There are workshops for writers, and any local writer can share their poems or stories at the end of the night during the open mic.

On Friday and Saturday, there is an art show and sale featuring works from many artists in the local area. The works include everything from metal to jewelry to paintings and show off the wide range of styles each artist uses.
