The Welland Courthouse is a great spot to visit for those with an affinity for all things architecture. This building was opened in 1856 and has been a local symbol of justice ever since. It is the third oldest courthouse in Ontario.
The Welland Courthouse was created with a neoclassical design. It featured many unique and rare elements, such as the second-floor balcony held up by 4 Ionic columns at the entrance and the use of Queenston Limestone.
