The cake donuts made in this bakery are one of the best, and their sub sandwiches make the place even better. These donuts are homemade, and getting them fresh and hot from the fryer, as people described, is “not only good for the body, but it’s good for the soul.”
They are only made several times per week, and you will know which days, as you can see folks in their cars inhaling these delightful donuts from the paper bags they are sold in, so do not be in a hurry when you go in as it can be quite busy at times.
When you visit Athens, you have to visit Willard’s Bakery and try their donuts…they are revelatory.
