Approximately 20 minutes away by driving from McLennan is Winagami Lake Provincial Park. It is where you can hike, fish, bird watch, star gaze and enjoy the great outdoors. At the park, you can also find plenty of birds, including predatory species like merlin, northern goshawk, bald eagles, and nesting colonies of grebes, sandpipers, gulls and gulls and ducks.
This park is the perfect destination for all kinds of outdoor pursuits. There is a boat launch area for those who want to travel farther onto the waters and be surrounded by the serene nature. Paddling with a kayak or canoe is also a viable option. In the summer, you can enjoy boating, fishing and sailing, while winters are filled with skating, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing. A campground is also available for those who want to stay in the area for additional days of fun and relaxation.
