In the 19th and 20th centuries, the Barrington Woolen Mill was a flourishing wool producer, popular due to the cold climate in Nova Scotia at the time. The mill generated power using a water turbine.
Visitors can visit the museum to see the equipment and learn about the lives of the employees at the mill. Interactive activities allow guests to try wool spinning and weaving, as well as guided tours, are available.
