World’s Largest Bee

01

Falher is known as the “Honey Capital of Canada,” so it is only fitting that you can find the “World’s Largest Bee.” Situated in the Bee Park along Main Street, the ‘Bee’ stands 20 feet above the ground and measures 22’8” long and 7’7” in diameter.

The bee statue was built by local welder Richard Ethier in 1990. It represents the thriving beekeeping industry in Falher that produces delicious honey and, at one point, produced 10% of Canada’s honey. Displayed on-site is more historical information that visitors can read up on. When in Falher, the ‘Bee’ is a must-visit and something you will not find anywhere else.
