This year-round operational nature site spans over 3000 acres of wetland and woodlands, allowing visitors to view various unique wildlife throughout their visit. With over 25km of trails and boardwalks, the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is the ideal locale for nature hikes and biking during the summer or cross-country ski and snowshoeing during the winter. Guided kayak/canoeing tours are also made available to explore further the marsh, where floating boardwalks, wildflower gardens, and the bee house can all be viewed.
Pre-registered programming, including guided walks, moccasin-making workshops, and other exciting activities, is also available. There is furthermore an Interpretive Centre, where guests can see and learn about the various snakes and turtles native to the marshes and receive information central to stewardship.
