Igloo Church

In the isolated region of the Northwest Territories, you can still find a glamorous church. Our Lady of Victory Church is often called the Igloo Church. It was built from 1958-1960 and despite its isolated location it still has its own charm in its own manner.

The church has a dome roof and slightly resembles an extremely enlarged igloo. The exterior is all white, while the interior has an altar that follows the walls and is covered in beautiful paintings.
It is a Roman Catholic Parish serving the people of Inuvik and the surrounding region.
