In Oxford Station, you’ll find an alpaca farm and the sweetest little shop filled with alpaca yarns and high-quality, hand-crafted textile items. Their focus is to provide high-quality, extremely warm Canadian and Peruvian-made alpaca products suited to our Canadian climate. They utilize homegrown alpaca fibre and incorporate traditional local skills and knowledge in the production of their end product, from rovings and yarn to duvets. They also import fair-trade items from Peru to keep the wealth of traditional Peruvian artisan knowledge and practices alive. Their goal is to move people away from “fast fashion,” a mass-produced, highly disposable product.
Please stop by to purchase new mittens or perhaps join in on one of their workshops.
