Angels Gate Winery has been in business since 2002. Their mission-style building on the property is designed to commemorate the Congregation of Christian Sisters, who once owned the property. Their winemaker Philip Dowell, is a native Australian, who likes to make wines that are true to the vineyard and show definite varietal character, with a regional identity. Today, they have been distinguished with numerous awards, and produce 35,000 cases annually.

Their grape varieties on their 190-acre vineyards produce Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Shiraz. To produce Phillip’s favourite bottles such as 2016 Mountainview Viognier VQA, 2017 Mountainview Syrah VQA, and 2014 Archangel Chardonnay Sparkling VQA. There are many other options to still choose from of Red, White, Sparkling, and other specialty types.
