This circuit allows people to experience the town of Cowansville’s vast history, discovering the days of old. There are 22 stops along the circuit, visiting establishments while learning the history surrounding them.
Some buildings include Palais de Justice et Prison de Sweetsburg, Manoir Racicot, Église Trinity, and more. Tourists can do the trajectory in one go (5 km) or separate it into two visits (2.5 km).
This guided tour goes through de Rue Principale, which connects both Sweetsburg (annexed since 1964) and Cowansville, demonstrating the efforts taken for the town’s prosperity. It starts in old Sweetsburg at Maison Shufelt-Pinsonneault and ends at the Église Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus.
