This maple grove was created in 1984 by a family whose roots trace back to Olivier LeTardif—one of the right-hand men of Samuel de Champlain, the founder of Quebec City. Through the orders of Champlain, LeTardif began to learn the Amerindian language and, subsequently, the manufacturing of maple syrup. Everything that was known was then passed on through eleven generations of the family, which is where we are today.
From July to November, you can book a guided tour and tasting, which includes a visit to the sugar shack and tastings of their maple sap, maple syrup, maple sugar, and maple butter! You can also make a reservation at their bistro, where you can eat a traditional sugar shack plate, pancakes, and a maple salad with maple vinaigrette. Don’t forget to make fresh maple taffy on the snow!
Please note: You must book in advance, and schedules are variable.
