Fort Erie Race Track was opened on June 16, 1897. The historic border oval is regarded as having one of the most picturesque infields in North America.  The venue offers live thoroughbred racing, free concerts, a farmers market and much more.

Its most important race is the Prince of Wales Stakes, the second leg of the Canadian Triple Crown.
