Fort Qu’Appelle Museum

01

The Fort Qu’Appelle Museum comprises three connected buildings, including part of the Hudson’s Bay Company Chief Factor’s house from the trading post and two more modern additions. The museum has many displays, including First Nations artifacts, a North West Mounted Police display, information on the nearby Fort San T.B. Sanatorium, and pioneer artifacts.

Hudson’s Bay post, pre-1914

The large holding of historical and personal materials is quite remarkable, well presented and a great walk through the history of the North West Territories, later Saskatchewan, Fort Qu’Appelle, Fort San and surrounding First Nations plus communities. Guided tours are also available from experienced guides with solid knowledge and a willingness to share.
