French River Trading Post

clothes shop

03

Established 1956

The French River Trading Post has expanded from a small gift shop on a gravel road to a thriving hospitality business. The business may look small on the outside but is surprisingly large on the inside. The company continues to flourish and serve thousands of customers each season under the leadership of the owners and their daughter. The Trading Post has a Kid’s Corner during the summer months with activities and mascots for children.

Items sold at the Trading Post include items such as Canadian-made moccasins, souvenirs, local First Nations handicrafts, and the company’s famous ice cream and cream and delicious butter fudge that is made fresh in-house. The French River Trading Post is usually busy as it is a favourite spot for visitors and locals alike.
