The Grand Trunk Railway Station is a significant historical and cultural site humming with activity.
The Grand Trunk Railway built a brand-new station in the expanding town of Caledonia in 1908. Until the discontinuation of passenger operations on October 26, 1957, it remained a very busy location. Up until around 1977, express parcel service was offered here. Following them, the CNR used this station as a repair depot. The windows were boarded up in 1988.
Today it is a busy spot yet again and has become a year-round tourist attraction. It’s a great spot to take pictures and find local railway artifacts. You definitely don’t want to miss it.
