History

Hafford’s multicultural roots have a Ukrainian flavour. You can see bilingual street signs – English and Ukrainian.

Come and check out the historic Hafford Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Early settlers of Ukranian descent settled in the area of Hafford in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and a plaque honours Bishop Nykyta Budka – the very first bishop of Ukrainian Catholics in Canada.
