A Fruitvale native, Adam Deadmarsh is a former NHL player. Drafted 14th overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, Deadmarsh would go on to play over 500 games in the NHL.

In 1996 Deadmarsh won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche.
